I have been a big fan of the show since it started four years ago. Last season was nice because they had some guest heros on the show that dded to the story of Superman/ Last season was Aquaman, The Huntress and Cyborg. Which are strange heroes to use since most of them had tenuous ties to Superman. (Well Aquaman was in the Justice League with Supes.)
I had heard to fan sites and rumor sites that we would be seeing more of the team-up aspect during this season. I am all for it. I even wished the Aquaman spin off had taken. Which is strange, seeing as it was the number one downloaded show on I-Tunes for several months.
The season started last week, no team-ups. Thats ok 21 more episodes.... Then the second episode premiered and BAM! Olive Queen, a.k.a. The Green Arrow. One of my favorite heroes fro DC comics. Not only was he in one episode, but the rumors talk about and extended stay for the archer. This makes me very happy. Rumors also have been circulating that Zantana ( Mistress of Magic) will be in this season.
The one character that is not being shown, or talked about is Batman. This would be a gold mine. I mean if ever there would be a spin off it would be Batman. A show detailing the travels of the young Bruce Wayne and his search for knowledge and skills. Think about it... A season in France were Bruce work closely with the French Detective that taught him to be a master crime investigator. Kinda a CSI meets Super Heroes. Then season two would be his training in in the orient to master skills of fighting. Season three would be in Japan were he was trained by ninjas and to build his gadgets. Season 4 would be back in the states maybe even crossing and with Smallville. Wow... that would be cool... Ok geek factor to high bring it down...
Ok here are other characters that I think Smallville would do well with... First we all know that the woman that he meet in the other-verse is Supergirl. No the rest of the list.... Blue Beetle or Booster Gold (for comedy value), Elongated Man (Come on another laugh a minute), bring The Flash back (season 2 or 3), Martian Manhunter (maybe not), Wonder Woman (come on another sexy woman). Ok my wish list now Smallville writers make it happen.... poof! nothing....
