Atlantic City Night 1

So we have brought Nathan to AC to have our Bachelor Party. First we stopped by Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank NJ. Which was way off our path. I bought a t-shirt and drove by the Quick Stop (See Picture Below). It took us 9 hours to get to AC (because we went to Red Bank.)

Pita Pizza

I was using some of the left overs from a 5 Cubed (Pita Calzones). So some one suggested that I make pizzas out of the left over ingredients. It came out really good. Here is the recipe.

1-2 Pita Pockets
1/2 cup Pizza Sauce
1/2 cup Diced Chicken
1 cup Mozzarella
1/2 cup Mushrooms
2 Table Spoons Olive Oil

Take the pita's and brush them lightly with the Olive Oil on both sides. Spoon sauce over the pita covering the pita. Add chicken and mushrooms. Cover the pitas with mozzarella. Put on a cookie tray in the oven for 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Serve and enjoy!

Walken Off 08

About a year ago when we were filming "1337" episode 10 we had a blooper reel that hit You Tube. This blooper was more gag reel. Chris Duncan one of our actors decided to spice up a run through of the scene by doing it as Christopher Walken.

Since then it have been seen over 60,000 time on You Tube. Believe it or not this isn't something we thought would pop. Well it did and we did get flamed about the headline, "Best Walken Impersonation Ever!". This was an over statement, but hey never thought it would really take off.

During a audition for a short film we will be producing in March, Chris Duncan brought the subject up. Here is the (cut) video of this conversation.

The Giants take the Superbowl.

Wow, most likely one of the most exciting Super Bowl's in quite a few years. The G-men did exactly what they needed to do to get the job done. They attacked Brady and shut down his long game. Brady has been able to sit in the pocket all game and throw deep. Until this point we have seen very few teams able to shut this type of game down. The Giant's pwned Brady. They had his ticket and they punched it hard.

I was surprised and very let down by Bill Belichick disapearance at the end of the game. The NFL said the game needed to be played to the end but Belichick decided to leave. What sportsmanship is that? What does that show for all the young people watching. That you can be a bad coach or player and not follow the rules or finish the game becuase you lost? I must say that in the press he's been made out to be a great man, this just proves that it's all hype. From cheating to family problems, Bill Belichick has shown in this last moment that it's not about the game. It's about the glory and the fame.

I question also the presence of Tom Brady this year. We have been force feed the word that this is the next best thing in quarterbacks. I don't think his head was in the game. It was mentioned he didn't take a snap today until some time after 4:30 today. The snub he also gave as Eli walked by was indicative to the type of team the Patriots have become, full of too much pride.

Even though I am a fan of the Jets, I am very happy that a New York team won. GO GIANTS!!

Every once in awhile you find that hidden treasure of an Indy film that while not a "sundance" quality, is an awesome little flick.

"50 Pills" is a film that has that great idea and was executed well. The story is about a freshman student that gets caught up in being thrown out of school due to parties his roommate has. The roommate leaves him 50 pills of X to sell and make his tuition. One of the reason why I like the movie might be that it has Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars). Now not to sound like the old perverted man but I wish women would have looked like her in my days. Big hair never seemed to turn me on.

The story is fun and light hearted. Different views on the big bad "drug dealers", a comical view that really was refreshing. The acting was good, not note worthy but enough to get the story told in a fashion to make me want to share it with others.

So if you are looking for a good comedy and something that isn't taking itself to serious then check out "50 Pills"

The Great Hacker: Kevin Mitnick

SO I just finished reading Jonathan Littman's version of the years Mitnick spent running from the feds and the phone companies.

In Littman's book he writes about the many phone conversations that he and the fugitive Mitnick had. He also portrays Tsutomu Shimomura(they guy that finally caught him), as a fame seeker. According to the book both John Markoff and Tsutomu went after Mitnick with the fervor and drive of people looking for a rapist or mass murder. The charges against Mitnick were only a simple probation violation. The trumped up allegations that were made by the companies Mitnick had gotten source code he had stolen. The companies and the government claims the code was worth millions of dollars. Was it really, can you put a dollar amount on

something that hasn't been sold or bought? I could create a widget and say that if someone stole it was worth 10 billion because of future sales.

I also read the book by Tsutomu and Markoff. I felt it drew some

conclusions that are not formed by the facts. Whether Littman or Markoff we're right by the facts will never be able to be proved outside of witness reports. I did like how Littman, who also was hacked by Mitnick. Yet even so never really made a judgment call about Mitnick and the reason why.

I also just watched the movie based on the Markoff story. I was worried that it would have the s

colored view as the book. I was some what pleased and a little disappointed by. Pleased because they didn't make Mitnick out to be a terrorist that Markoff and the media did. Disappointed because the story did take on a new twist adding that Tsutomu had some secret program that would crash major systems. Funny that never came out in the real trial. Mitnick did have the OKI open source code and that alone was a dangerous piece of information. Yet he never used it to sell anything, get anything or in any transaction that committed a crime (accept for the illegal wiretapping abilities the phone could do.).

Well the story is gripping and a good read for anyone that might want to learn more about Mitnick, Poulsen, Tsutomu, or any of the hackers that made that age a legend.
